PA-31 (NAVAJO) AND PA-31T (CHEYENNE II) PILOT

Responsibilities

  • Flying geophysical survey operations in Canada, USA, and worldwide, using Navajo (PA-31) and Cheyenne II (PA-31T).
  • Operating with several different types of geophysical systems such as magnetic, radiometric, gravity, etc.
  • Ensuring safety of the aircraft he/she commands and for all those on board during the flight.
  • Creating proper flight planning, taking into consideration safety requirement.
  • Completing pre-flight inspections and post flight reports.
  • Liaising with foreign aviation authorities.

Required Qualifications

  • A valid commercial pilot’s license, with valid medical.
  • Valid IFR rating, an asset.
  • Willingness to travel globally for limited periods of time
  • Experience on the Piper Navajo (PA-31), an asset.
  • Experience on the Piper Cheyenne II (PA-31T), an asset.
  • Experience with turbine powered aircraft, an asset.
  • Experience with low level survey, an asset.
  • Experience in International flying, an asset.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Multilingual, an asset.
  • Must have valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

 

GEOPHYSICAL OPERATOR/TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting airborne geophysical instrumentation
  • Operating airborne geophysical instrumentation in-flight

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in electronics or related field
  • Experience in geophysical instrument operations
  • Experience / familiarity with electronics
  • Willingness to travel globally for limited periods of time
  • Must have valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

 

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Managing project execution and ensuring their success
  • Managing survey crews
  • Liaising with customers

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in earth sciences, geophysics, or physics
  • Experience in geophysical operations management
  • Experience / familiarity with Geosoft Oasis montaj
  • Willingness to travel globally for limited periods of time
  • Must have valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

 

GEOPHYSICIST

Responsibilities

  • Creating survey flight plans and drape plans
  • Performing quality control on acquired data
  • Processing airborne magnetometer, electromagnetic, and gamma-ray spectrometer data
  • Producing final map products

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in earth sciences, geophysics, or physics
  • Experience / familiarity with geophysical instrument operations
  • Experience / familiarity with Geosoft Oasis montaj
  • Extensive computer experience
  • Willingness to travel globally for extended periods of time
  • Must have valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for the purpose of traveling globally
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
